|Job type||Full time|
The Director of Internal Communications will support and drive critical messaging to Carpenter Technology's key internal decision-makers and employee stakeholders. The role will be responsible for the implementation and execution of a consistent, timely, and brand-conforming long-term strategy by leveraging existing communication vehicles, and developing new strategies for a changing workforce. With a specific focus on increasing employee engagement among the Production and Maintenance workforce (P&M), the incumbent will drive local internal communication strategies at the manufacturing facilities. The role will report to the Vice President of Human Resources, but will work very closely with members of Carpenter's Leadership Team on critical communication initiatives. These initiatives could extend beyond Carpenter's internal audience to include shareholders, customers, and our Board of Directors.
Routinely writing for the President and Chief Executive Officer, additional success in this position will come with the establishment of close working partnerships with site/business leaders, Human Resource Business Partners, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) personnel. These individuals will drive local internal communications with the guidance and support from the Director of Internal Communications.
This position will also work closely with our Commercial organization, specifically as it pertains to branding, customer communications, trade show preparation, and coordinated collaterals in the areas of mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships. The Director of Internal Communications will assist in maintaining the Investor Relations section of our public website, specifically as it relates to the Board of Directors and Executive Leadership.
